Galery La Naval. Cartagena. October 2015.

Tomás Mendoza (Cartagena, 1974) shows a set of twenty-five pieces of small size in an installation that replicates the way of composing his works, the most filling compositions, drawing from his life and his recurring dreams the material to go close to defining a certain poetic surrealism, but away from historicist revisions. Deeply rooted in the biography and in the mind of the artist, his painting offers us glimpses of surprising combinations of images, sometimes terrible and other sensitive, with a detailed technical built over the years and far from all academicism.
